You can never go wrong with a hotel engagement photos!! Krista and Jared had a complete vision for their engagement shoot at the iconic The Lafayette Hotel. The Lafayette Hotel has the best retro vibes with tons of colors, patterns, and details in every corner. I tied in some vintage vibes by providing film photos, along with digital photos.

As high school sweethearts, Krista and Jared have been together for eleven years. They met through mutual friends and went to prom together hardly knowing each other beforehand. Since then, Krista and Jared have been inseparable doing long distance during college, moving in together in the Bay Area after getting their degrees, and recently moved to San Diego and got engaged!

The SoCal Location: The Lafayette Hotel

The Lafayette Hotel is known for giving off vintage vibes throughout the entire property. The hotel allows photography in the lobby, pool area, The Gutter, Lou Lou’s, and the exterior of the hotel. A photography permit and a fee is needed to take photos here. It was super easy to communicate with the staff and book a date (check out their website here or email them directly here). The Lafayette Hotel only allows photoshoots on Monday through Thursday between 9am and 4pm.
