Wilmington, North Carolina Engagement Session

I drove home from this engagement session feeling SO happy and in love with my job after this engagement session in Wilmington, North Carolina!!! You know the kind of people that just trust my work, are funny and kind and down-to-earth, and are willing to get creative? Yeah, well Rachel and Brent were those kind of people.

They’re truly the most down-to-earth couple with the sweetest love story. They met through a mutual friend, and it was pretty much love at first sight for them and were engaged pretty quickly. When you know, you know!! It was so fun getting to spend time hearing about their love story, learning about their mutual love for martial arts, and watching the sunset together. We ended the session with them getting in the water and me taking a Polaroid picture for them (I try to include a Polaroid picture in most of my sessions!!).

The Location

We met up at sunset at Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington, North Carolina to capture these photos. At Wrightsville Beach, there is the pier, some buildings near by for a more classic vintage beach feel, some sand dunes, and lots of open space to run around in and have fun!

Wrightsville Beach is a pretty easy location to have a session at, as long as we discuss which beach access to meet up at beforehand. Wrightsville Beach is a big beach with lots of entrances! Some entrances have restaurants, bars, and food stands right on or right by the beach so it’s easy to incorporate food or drinks for a more personalized session if you’re wanting that.
