This engagement shoot in Wrightsville Beach was absolutely perfect. Beth and Aaron were so much fun to get to know despite meeting up at sunrise – which was a positive for waking up super early because the two locations they wanted led to BOTH being empty while we were there. Despite the early morning, I went home after their engagement shoot in Wilmington soooo freakin’ excited about these photos!!!
Beth and Aaron first met during their freshman year of high school in Wilmington, but didn’t start dating until their junior year of high school when Aaron asked Beth to prom with a little magic trick. Beth said yes, and the rest was history 😉 They did four years of long distance during college, but as Beth said in her email, “Long-distance was so tough but so worth it as it made our relationship that much stronger”. After graduating college, Aaron proposed to Beth using the same magic trick he used to ask her to prom back in high school. By the time I get to photograph their wedding, they will have been together for eight years!
Beth and Aaron wanted two locations for their engagement photos in Wilmington. We started with walking around The Loop in Wilmington at sunrise. The Loop is a 2.5 mile loop around Wrightsville Beach, with crossing some bridges, downtown vibes, and through neighborhoods. Starting at sunrise was perfect because there were barely any people on the path or on the roads, it was still cool out before the summer sun came out, and the lighting was so pretty for photos. We ended by going to Wrightsville Beach after our walk. The entrance we went to for Wrightsville Beach had a pier that we checked out on top before going on to the beach. It was such a perfect day for an engagement shoot in Wilmington!!
