This engagement shoot in SoCal was absolutely stunning! Gabby and Tom were so down for adventure and up to doing anything – including the steep walk to get to this location! This sunset engagement shoot in the flower fields were absolutely beautiful though and so worth it!!

Let’s back up a moment first though. Gabby and Tom first met each other through mutual friends in college. Her best friend lived above Tom and his roommates. Gabby and Tom started dating shortly after meeting and the rest is history! Since then, they have moved across the country together, adopted a cute dog, and are planning on getting married next year in 2025!

The Location: Flower Fields in SoCal

It was a total pinch me moment seeing these stunning flower fields with the mountains in the background!!!! We met up by the street before walking to the flower fields. This SoCal engagement shoot location was so gorgeous – I seriously cannot say that enough!! Obviously the best time for going to this location is in the spring – usually end of March through beginning of May. For reference, these photos were taken at the beginning of April 2024 after a few rainy days.

This particular location was just south of San Diego and a bit more inland. Street parking was available and free as well. It was not crowded during a weekday evening, although I believe the flower fields are big enough to find privacy if you’re nervous about a big crowd being there (or if you’re going on the weekend). Sunrise would also be gorgeous and even more private too, I’m sure! It was such a perfect evening for an engagement shoot in SoCal!!
