If the beach is important to you and within your relationship, here are 6 tips for having a beach photoshoot:
Be prepared for a breeze or wind during your beach photoshoot. Wind could potentially cause movement within your outfit and your hair. The wind makes your photos look more romantic, but make sure to wear an appropriate outfit especially if it’s windy out. Have the right mindset by mentally preparing yourself that you may not get the “absolute picture perfect” photos; instead, they’ll be imperfectly perfect in capturing these memories!
Colors that are complimentary to the beach include navy blue, olive green, dark green, dark brown, white, red, maroon, black, and blue. Be aware that sometimes lighter clothes can look washed out with the sand in pictures, but it really just depends! Here are more ideas on what to wear!
As awkward as this is to think about, wear something that doesn’t show sweat stains – especially if you’re doing a photoshoot on the beach during mid-day (any time between 8am-5pm). If it’s a sunrise or sunset shoot, it should be cooler outside so sweat stains shouldn’t be as much of a concern – but you know yourself better than I do regarding sweating.
You can get a variety of photos by adding a few accessories that are easy to put on and take off. Choose 1-3 items that feel most “you” and add to the vibe you’re wanting! Accessories can include:
There’s a HIGH chance you’ll end up in the water even if it’s just putting your feet in (although I can’t promise a wave won’t come up to you ;)). I recommend bringing a towel, wearing a swimsuit under your clothes, or bringing a change of clothes for the drive home after photos.
Ultimately, have FUN and wear something you’re comfortable and confident in!!!!
