Lafayette Hotel Engagement Shoot

Are you looking for the ultimate retro vibes for some engagement shoot inspiration? Look no further than this Lafayette Hotel engagement shoot!! Jenna and Jack had a complete vision for their engagement shoot – and I’d say we executed it well! Their engagement outfits perfectly matched the vibe of the hotel! We got some beautiful engagement pictures both inside and outside at this iconic hotel in San Diego, California.

Location #1: Lafayette Hotel

The Lafayette Hotel is known for its retro vibes in every corner – giving off the most classic vibes for your engagement photos! The hotel allows photography in the lobby, pool area, The Gutter, Lou Lou’s, and the exterior of the hotel. Photo examples of each spot are below:

We had to fill out a photography permit and pay a fee to gain permission to photograph here. It was super easy to communicate with the staff and book a date (check out their website here or email them directly here). The Lafayette Hotel only allows photoshoots on Monday-Thursday between 9am-4pm.

Location #2: Sunset Cliffs

In addition to the Lafayette Hotel, we also drove over to Sunset Cliffs for part two of their engagement shoot! Sunset Cliffs has endless ocean views and is most known for viewing the sunset here (as the name suggests!). There’s a few spots along the cliffs where you’re also able to climb down to get on to a beach. Low tide is the best time to get on the beach by Sunset Cliffs.
