You can never go wrong with a San Diego engagement shoot!! Caitlin and Mike had a complete vision for their engagement shoot – and I think we completed it pretty well! We got some beautiful engagement pictures with the San Diego skyline in the background at this scenic spot.

Caitlin and Mike met nine years ago while she was in college and he was stationed in San Diego in the military. They had their first date on November nineteenth and are planning to get married on that same date later on since it’s been their anniversary for so many years already. They love to travel together, listen to music, and spending time with their dog, Remi.

Photoshoot Props

Caitlin and Mike came to their engagement shoot prepared with plenty of accessories and props to use throughout their engagement shoot! These accessories can help add different looks throughout your photo gallery, which is a fun way to get a variety of photos.

Here’s a list of ideas of accessories that you can include and bring to your own photoshoot:

Jacket: jean jacket, leather jacket, sherpa jacket, blazer
A cardigan or a sweater
Hat: baseball cap, “gigi pip” style hat, cowboy hat, a beanie
Hair accessories: hair scarves, scrunchies, bandanas, clips
Fun or funky sunglasses
Bouquet of flowers
A veil (yes, even for an engagement shoot)
Drinks: pop some champagne or bring your favorite soda bottle / coffee / tea / etc.
Your pet (here are 7 Tips to Bringing Your Dog to Your Photoshoot)
A swimsuit – wear it under your clothes for the end of a photoshoot
Your car or motorcycle (or rent a cool car, like Caitlin and Mike did)
A sign with your wedding date, a “just married” sign, etc.

There are so many more ideas (check out Pinterest), but this is a pretty good list to start getting those creative juices flowing. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and to get creative with your photos!
