This La Jolla wedding day was soooooo so so beautiful!!! The entire day was so intentional, so colorful, and so perfect. Rozel and Joe’s wedding day turned out absolutely gorgeous!!!
Let’s start with this stunning La Jolla wedding venue: La Jolla Women’s Club. Every turn at this wedding venue is gorgeous: the gardens, the outdoor ceremony and reception areas, the indoor area…it’s all so perfect. La Jolla Women’s Club is also within walking distance of the classic Cali beach with cliffside views!
Before the ceremony, we did pictures of Joe and his wedding party and pictures of Rozel and her wedding party.
After pictures with their respective wedding parties, Rozel and Joe did an intimate first touch and read their vows privately together. Both of them cried reading their vows (I was too). Once they read their vows, they went to go spend more time with their wedding parties separately.
The ceremony was so beautiful during this La Jolla wedding! The ceremony was the first time Rozel and Joe saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. They both teared up seeing each other at the end of the aisle. Guests were offered champagne as they entered the ceremony space and found a seat. They had a close family friend officiate the wedding, who was able to offer insight into the couple’s love story and give personal stories about the two. Rozel and Joe laughed, teared up, and were all smiles throughout the ceremony.
Their wedding parties – 11 people – was such a fun group! Rozel had 6 people in her wedding party while Joe had 5 people in his wedding party. They were all so attentive to making the groom and bride looked perfect during pictures, everyone had so much fun together, and the day was filled with laughter due to the wedding party! I loved the mix of the guys’ wearing cream linen and the gals wearing a pink-ish color. The colors looked so good together and were the perfect summer-y wedding vibe!
After the ceremony and family photos, the evening started with a cocktail hour in the side garden with a beautiful flower tree. Rozel and Joe really prioritized spending time with their guests, so they went straight from family photos to the cocktail hour; they opted to wait to do couple portraits at sunset later in the evening. Drinks and appetizers were served while the couple and the guests were able to chat and hang out to start off the celebrations.
The reception was outdoor as well and started with Rozel and Joe’s first dance, which was so beautiful to witness. They danced before making a speech giving their heartfelt thanks to all of their guests for traveling in for their wedding. When tables were allowed to go get food, they stopped first at the sweetheart table for a group picture. This was an awesome opportunity for all the guests to get a picture with the couple! After the quick group picture, guests ate dinner — a traditional Thai meal buffet-styled. It was delicious!!
I also have to shoutout the florals of this wedding in the ceremony and the reception!! The florist reused the half-arch from the ceremony by incorporating it into their sweetheart table at the reception. She also reused the flowers that were put in the ground at the ceremony by surrounding the sweetheart table with them. The florals on all of the tables at the receptions were also so stunning and tied everything together so well!
Shortly after dinner, we did couple portraits at the beach right before sunset. We were near the La Jolla Wedding Bowl (which is equally as stunning), which is a short walk from the La Jolla Women’s Club venue. The couple portraits were stunning and so perfect to capture their wedding portraits together!! I’m still in awe of just how beautiful Southern California is and that this is what you can do for your couple wedding portraits!!
After the couple portraits, we went back to the wedding venue and danced the rest of the night away!
